**Brand new role Head of Sustainability**

We are incredibly excited to be recruiting for this newly created role for a large employer with their Head Office in London. Due to growth within the business, they are looking for an experienced Sustainability professional to join their team. Youll be an innovator, someone who enjoys building a function from the ground up, adding value and making a difference.

**Location**:Home based however - will be required to be in the London office once per week ideally

**Salary**: Circa £80-83k plus discretionary bonus

**Hours**:Full-time, Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm

**Benefits**: 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare

**What will the role entail?**
- As its a brand new role, youll have the opportunity to develop a sustainability roadmap which is tailored to the needs and priorities of the business.
- Building strong relationships with the exec and SLT, youll be able to utilise existing materials as a foundation but will be expected to build a strong framework ensuring alignment and support across the organisation.
- Build an ESG Data Strategy, overseeing the implementation of a data dashboard, ensuring that KPIs are regularly updated and communicated.
- Drive ESG initiatives and decision making processes, offering strategic guidance to the operations.
- Work closely with the Risk and Legal Functions to identify and address significant business changes related to sustainability. Youll be developing tools and frameworks to effectively manage these changes and mitigate associated risks.
- Elevate the visibility of the sustainability initiatives both internally and externally. Representing the business at events and forums, showcasing their commitments and progress to stakeholders and peers.

What experience and skills will you need? You are an experienced sustainability practitioner with proficiency in managing corporate and operational ESG requirements. You maintain and enhance the highest levels of sustainability management principles. You promote a culture of innovation and continue improvement regarding ESG and decarbonisation. Demonstrable experience of delivering ESG Strategies in complex, high profile assets and/or portfolios within a privately owned UK enterprise. Possess a minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience in sustainability and demonstrate an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience relevant to the position. Exhibit a deep understanding of global sustainability trends and regulation, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Proven track record of driving innovation, adept project management skills, and effective leadership in dynamic commercial environments with a focus on decarbonisation. Strong communication skills, with experience in confidently engaging with senior leadership teams to convey complex ideas and influence strategic decisions. You are a great communicator and adept at working with C-Suite level stakeholders. You are an excellent judge and decision maker. You are a highly effective problem solver.
