**Job Description**:
An exceptional and exciting opportunity has become available on the prestigious Dalham Estate in Suffolk.

The successful applicant’s role will be to support the Head Keeper, as Underkeeper, your responsibilities will be:

- Assisting the Head Keeper with all aspects of the day-to-day care, management, and welfare of the game birds.
- Assisting in the running of the beating line and smooth operation of shoot days.
- Assisting with the management of deer, vermin, and predators (in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of good practice).
- Maintaining all shoot equipment (fixed and non-fixed) along with vehicles and implements.
- Assisting with all aspects of woodland and estate management.
- Complying with the Estate Health and Safety policy and all codes of conduct and good practice referred to.
- Any other tasks pertinent to the role

**Qualifications**:

- The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- It is essential to have a robust and flexible attitude to work, working additional hours when required.
- Motivated, committed and driven, with the ability to contribute to a close-knit team as well as work on an individual basis.
- Passionate about Gamekeeping and committed to what the role and lifestyle entails.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Valid Firearms/Shotgun Certificates.

Other relevant qualifications desired but not essential:

- Chainsaw Operators qualification
- Rodent/Pest Control
