Hospital Porter

Job Title: Chargehand Hospital Porter

working on a rota basis of 4on 4off

12hr shifts 06.00am - 18.00pm & 18.00pm - 06.00am

**Responsibilities**:

- Transport patients, medical equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital
- Assist with the movement of patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Deliver specimens, documents, and other items to various departments within the hospital
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms, hallways, and common areas
- Follow proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and diseases
- Respond promptly to requests for assistance from patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while performing job duties
- Collaborate with other hospital staff to ensure efficient operations

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects or patients when necessary
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery of items and proper cleaning of areas
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients' needs and concerns
- Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures
