We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to work within our European Plant.

Based in Mallusk, and working in close conjunction with our Production, Planning and Quality Managers, this role will offer the opportunity to utilise your skills to develop our current maintenance processes to ensure that they are as efficient and refined as possible in order to maintain our high-volume production output and world class manufacturing goals.

**Main Duties**:

- Day-to-day management of Mould Maintenance Department - Direct line management responsibility for team of 5x maintenance engineers, across both Mechanical & Electrical disciplines.
- Organisation of all departmental resources to ensure asset up-time is maximised and production targets are met.
- Total Preventative Maintenance responsibility for all moulding machines, moulds, extruders, blenders, chillers, material transfer system and all other ancillary equipment.
- Moulding process optimisation, condition setting and troubleshooting to ensure quality levels and machine output targets are maintained.
- Proactive approach to monitoring of all constraint moulds, working in conjunction with production manager to ensure mould overhaul schedule is completed effectively.
- Reporting and ongoing development of department KPI’s for mould up-time/OEE/cavity efficiency
- Drive continual improvement and energy reduction initiatives with overall aims of increasing machine uptime and reduction of manufacturing costs.
- Prioritisation and delegation of daily running and machine maintenance issues.
- Departmental responsibility for control of spare parts, inventory management, reordering and record keeping in line with assigned budget.
- Supplier technical point of contact for machine and mould related spare parts and consumables.
- Ongoing development and training of all maintenance engineers and apprentices.
- Responsibility for all department related H&S monitoring, controlled documentation, ISO 9001/14001 requirements and 5S standards.
- Actively participate in capital projects and new equipment installations and/or replacement projects as required.

**Essential Knowledge/Experience**:

- Management of maintenance personnel in a fast-moving production environment.
- Ability to lead a team by example and with accountability.
- Prioritisation of personal and team daily workload and effective delegation when required.
- Implementing change in a production environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work across multiple production related departments.
- ISO Quality Systems and Continual Improvement methods.
- Highly proficient with use of MS Excel and similar reporting tools.
- Accountability, reliability and the ability to work on own initiative.
- Desire to improve manufacturing methods and strive for efficiency gains.
- Eye for detail and a logical approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills, and a proactive attitude.

**Preferred Knowledge/Experience**:

- Extensive knowledge of injection moulding machinery and associated auxiliary equipment maintenance.
- Previous experience within high volume/FMCG manufacturing environment.
