We are currently looking for a full time Shop Assistant to join our team in delivering outstanding customer service in our Pet food store in Wheelock.

**Job Description and Profile**

It is a diverse role that involves serving customers, handling cash, manual handling, filling shelves, stock keeping etc. A prior experience of working in the retail environment will be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- serving customers at the tills
- handling cash, cheques and debit/credit cards
- cleaning
- manual handling
- filling shelves,
- loading and unloading suppliers and customers
- handling and processing documents, stocktaking etc

**Skills and Specifications**:

- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Good numeracy and literacy
- Due to the nature of tasks required applicants must be over 18 years old.

**Terms**:

- Full time position (40 hours a week, to include two out of three Saturdays, overtime/additional shifts might be available). **Ability to work Saturdays is essential.**
- The role is based at our Wheelock shop, however from time to time you might be required to cover duties at our other shops.
- Pension scheme, Bike2work scheme, on-site parking

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.84 per hour
