**Project Description**:
The proposed system will offer a full 2D beam-steering with high gain, suitable for ground segment antennas to cater LEO constellations. The beamforming and beam-steering capabilities which is aimed for reduced power consumption, increase data rate, and reduced latency. Such systems requires a smart beam-steering algorithm to manage several beams generated by such RF systems.
So part of the proposed project is to develop, improve and implement a smart algorithm to cater inter-satellite and intra-beam handover. The algorithm is aimed to be created for generalised beam-steering antenna setup, and will be tested with the lens antenna system
**Applicant Specification**:
It is important that applicant should have good knowledge of antenna theory, CAE/CAD packages. IT would be preferred, although not essential, if the applicant has completed Bachelor’s degree and pursuing education for master’s degree MSc, or MEng or higher.
**Minimum Requirements**:
CST Microwave Studio, PCB Design Tool (such as Altium), Beamformer IC, knowledge of PCB fabrication process, electronic components, etc.
