Patient Choice Advisor 35 hours per week,

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well motivated individual to join the Booking Centre at Maglona House as a Patient Choice Advisor to work as part of the wider Emergency Care and Medical Care Group. The department specialises in referral management and plays a key role in the processing of referrals from GP’s and other Health Care Professionals as well as providing a telephone appointment booking facility for a high volume of service users.

Being able to communicate effectively with patients on the phone is essential to the role. The individual will also need to be efficient and accurate when inputting data and arranging out-patient appointments. Some previous experience of working in a patient focused administration role would be preferable, although specific training will be provided. Knowledge of NHS Systems would also be an advantage.

This is a part time position working between the core times of 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. However on occasions the need to be flexible would be an advantage depending on the service’s needs.
