Our Visitor Experience Team look after our visitor sites, anchored by some of our reservoirs and set in some stunning countryside.

We deliver wonderful experiences to our visitors and there really is something for everyone, from bird watching to fishing, and cycling to watersports.

As **Visitor Centre Lead** at our **Visitor Centre in Carsington,** you will be responsible for our people, our place, our environment, and our technology.

You will also be responsible for the management of the visitor centres H&S statutory compliance, including liaising with contractors and ensuring local site safety inspections are completed and recorded.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

- Facilities management; manage the** compliance **of the visitor centre including lifts, electric doors, lightening protection, roller shutter doors, fire safety, legionella, and exhibition.
- Ownership of the day to day running of **indoor exhibitions**. Managing compliance by ensuring daily checks are completed, faults are reported and remedied, and issues raised with relevant contractor.
- Ownership of **rota for front of house staff and volunteers** to ensure annual leave, training and sickness are accounted for. Managing the workload accordingly to ensure consistency, carry out the front of house duties, and create a great visitor experience.
- Initiating new booking process for **conference rooms** and managing the booking system, overseeing the payment process including the marketing of these to drive up income.
- Managing the booking of both **internally and externally organised events**, liaising with events organisers, gathering, and approving the relevant H&S paperwork, and overseeing payment.
- To assist with the **running of in-house events** including the purchasing of prizes, sale of tickets, recording of sales and promotion.
- Ownership of **social media accounts** and management of posts and responses by team to answer questions, create engaging content, and drive up both engagement and followers.
- **
Financial management** of visitor site reception including banking, recording, and reporting of income. Use of p card.
- Servicing, repairs and hiring of** accessibility** equipment including wheelchairs, tramper scooters, and mountain trike.
- Monthly reporting of customer statistics including counters, visitor feedback and engagement statistics.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**

We are looking for someone with a experience in Visitor and Facilities Management, ideally in the recreation or Leisure industry. Experience in organising, promoting, and delivering events.

Strong stake holder management skills are essential for this role as you will be communicating with visitors, team members and contractors.

Ideally you would have some experience in managing contracts who demonstrates clear leadership and isn’t afraid to take ownership
