The role Reporting to the Operations Team leader, the jobholder will be responsible for providing the design, deployment, configuration, and support of the organisations end user desktop technologies.

Main responsibilities This will encompass the following:

- To design, test and develop the desktop images used using SCCM, InTune, and Autopilot.
- To monitor the performance of the desktop, using feedback from staff, incidents raised, digital experience tool, and other information.
- To design the control of the desktop environment to ensure standardisation, licensing compliance and change control.
- To manage software distribution and patch management.
- To be responsible for implementing policies and standards and ensuring adherence to security procedures.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members.
- Responsible for writing and maintaining procedural and design documentation.
- Leads research and develop new technology, tools, and scripts to support desktop computing.

Desired:

- Experience troubleshooting both hardware and Microsoft operating systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft technical and Office stack
- Strong knowledge of Win 10
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Excellent customer service skills and ethos
- Demonstrable project management and multi-tasking capabilities
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking for LAN and WAN.
- Advanced knowledge of registry, permissions, and drivers and software required.

Advantageous
- Experience of working with InTune and Autopilot
- Experience of working in the legal or professional service sector

Additional Details

Travel to other Shoosmiths offices will be necessary on occasions.

It is essential that the Desktop Analyst can work flexible or extended hours to complete some tasks outside of core business hours of 08:00 to 18:00.

This role is a hybrid working role but there is an expectation that the jobholder works from the Shoosmiths Northampton office for a minimum of 2 days a week.
