- The Academic Liaison Team Leader will provide strategic oversight and management for the small team of Academic Liaison Librarians. They will ensure that the team of librarians provide both consistent and high quality, specialist embedded services for staff and students in specific schools as well as providing these services for one assigned school. They will lead on projects such as Information Literacy teaching and curriculum support. This person will be a point of contact for Heads of Schools and will advise and support any action which could improve the Learning Resources NSS score for the school.

**Job Title**: Academic Liaison Team Leader**Faculty/Directorate**: Directorate for Student Success**Grade**: G**Location**: High Wycombe**Hours**: 37**Responsible to**: Library and Learning Resources Manager**Responsible for**: Academic Liaison Librarians**Job Purpose**:

- The Academic Liaison Team Leader will be responsible for effective liaison between the library and academic schools, co-ordination of information literacy teaching and selection and de-selection of appropriate learning resources. They will work with the library team to provide excellent learning resources experiences for all students and staff at BNU.**Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role**:

- Manage and support all Academic Liaison Librarians and co-ordinate their work to provide consistent, high quality learning resources support for all BNU schools.
- With the support of the Library and Learning Resources Manager and Academic Liaison Librarians, develop a full range of information literacy teaching sessions to support the Bucks Information Literacy Framework which are innovative, interactive and accessible for all.
- Deliver tailored, engaging information literacy teaching sessions for students in the nominated schools with the support of the Senior Library Assistants. These will include face-to-face, blended and distance learning sessions for all levels of students from pre-enrolment to post-graduation.
- Liaise with academic staff and use own collection knowledge to make decisions about journal, book (both print and online) and database procurement.
- Support the implementation and ongoing training for academic staff to make full use of library and learning resources software including the Digital Content Store, Keylinks and LibGuides and their integration in the VLE (Blackboard).
- Lead, manage, coordinate and implement projects associated with the remit of the post and enlist the help of team members and University colleagues where appropriate.
