Quality Assurance Inspector

**Salary**: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience, with additional overtime

Our client’s newly established facility at Rugby is expanding rapidly and they are seeking motivated and committed people to join their team. As they develop and grow their manufacturing and production facility, PWR offers a solid career opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector.
This role will grow and develop as our client’s volume of production rapidly increases and provides an excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their existing Quality Inspection expertise into a larger Quality Assurance Inspector role.
**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- Inspection of high end components using visual/manual measuring techniques as well as CMM equipment
- Creating balloon drawings and measurement tables for critical dimensions and tolerances
- Creating certificate of conformance documents and part identification stickers
- Resolving product quality issues raised by our customers
- Managing product quality planning and control process based on customer specifications and requirements (APQP, PPAP)
- Preparing and maintaining product quality documentation based on customers' requirements
- Support with customer audits when on site
- Working closely with production and engineering managers to assess existing processes for performance, risk and opportunities
- Supporting PWR’s Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) process.
**Person specification**:
- Previous working experience as a Quality Inspector
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to read work orders and specifications
- Experience with precision measuring instruments
- CMM/laser scanning experience, ideally with Romer arm or similar experience
- Experience working with detailed drawings
- Ability to problem solve and determine root cause
- Strong time management and communication skills, analytical thinker
- Ability to train staff
- Take pride in Quality and workmanship, strong work ethic
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy workplace.
**Desirable competencies**:
- Fitter and turner / toolmaker experience (preferable)
- Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems ISO9001 and IATF 16949 (preferable)
- Be able to work autonomously and be self-driven
- Able to troubleshoot problematic jobs
- Confident decision maker.
