**Vacancy - Automotive Paint Mixing / Trainee Colourist**

We are looking for a Paint Mixing Operative to assist us with the daily tasks at our head office in West Bromwich.

Mixing paint to customer orders and manufacturers’ formulations, ensuring that formulations are strictly adhered to and recorded. Paint to be tinned, correctly labelled and quality checked, then located in the correct area for collection or delivery as required. Working and collaborating with other team members, you will be responsible for doing your part in ensuring the paint mixing room is functioning efficiently.

**What to expect from the role**
- Hands-on experience of mixing many different paint products, organizing products correctly for delivery.
- Collecting products required for paint mixes within the warehouse.
- Booking out products removed from stock.
- Learning how to organize and multitask on the job.
- In-house training and support
- Learn on the job regarding the best practices in the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Organize products for paint mixes required, as allocated by the Paint Mix Room Supervisor.
- To locate colours formulations on manufacturers’ systems and software
- Ensure all items picked from stock are booked on the computer management system.
- All paint mix formulations are recorded for mixes carried out, and are quality checked
- Allocating paint mixes to the correct areas.
- Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and personnel for a smooth workflow.
- Report any issues within the paint mix area to the supervisors.
- Operate the correct mixing room tools and equipment for tasks as required.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Clean your working area and keep it tidy.
- Keep the company quality policies in mind while working.
- Stay up to date and follow best practices.

**Requirements**:

- A good eye for colour, with no colour blindness
- Physically fit.
- Well versed with basic computer systems,
- Excellent organisational, time management and multitasking skills.

**Salary**: Up to £11.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
