**Evening Caretaker**

**Hours**: 30 hours per week, 16:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday all year round.
- You will also be required, on occasion, to work at the weekends to support school events. Therefore a degree of flexibility is required for this role, and we are happy to consider more flexible working hours during school holidays._

**Salary**: £18,236 - £21,060 per annum actual salary (£24,315 - £28,080 FTE)

St Gabriel’s offers an innovative and inspiring education to children from the age of 6 months to 18 years. Working in beautiful surroundings, our friendly premises team provide a professional maintenance and caretaking service to support the efficient operation of the school.

The Evening Caretaker will be the face of the school during the evenings as well as being responsible for keeping the buildings warm, well lit, safe and secure. You will work as part of our wider maintenance team to ensure the buildings and grounds are kept to a high standard, providing both a planned & responsive caretaking service.

You will hold a GCSE (or equivalent) in Math and English, with an awareness of health and safety legislation. You will have an ability to complete a wide range of practical maintenance tasks, therefore need to be able to manage a high degree of manual handling. It would be beneficial if you have experience working in a similar role, or a trade background.

Our Evening Caretaker needs to be friendly, approachable and have a calm disposition to respond to emergencies and adapt to the varied work due to the operational demands of the school. Please see the job description for a detailed list of responsibilities and a person specification.
