**Project Description**:
The applicant is expected to learn the following tasks to successfully complete the project:
- Understand and effectively use a spectrum analyser.
- Point and re-point a satellite receiving antenna.
- Spend one week in Fuchsstadt, Germany meeting teleport staff and learning the skills described above.
- Use the antenna and spectrum analyser to scan multiple satellites.
- Use web sources such as Lyngsat and Satbeam to analyse the results of the scanning.
- Prepare a presentation/summary using results from the scanning and from the web
sources.
- Deliver a presentation on the findings to Intelsat management.
In addition, the student will learn the basics of link budget analysis on Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO) satellites and understand the future Innovations Intelsat is developing.
**Minimum Requirements**:Knowledge of telecommunication and a curious mind.
**Preferred Additional Requirements**:Undergraduate student - Preference for degree path in Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Physics, Aerospace
