Banksman/labourer

Key Responsibilities:

- **Safety Oversight**:Direct the movement of the mini digger/dumper on the cemetery grounds, ensuring all operations are executed safely.
- **Effective Communication**: Use established hand signals and radio equipment to guide the mini digger/dumper operator.
- **Risk Assessment**: Continuously assess potential hazards or obstructions in the cemetery, such as nearby graves, trees, or other obstacles.
- **Coordination**: Collaborate closely with the mini digger/dumper operator and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- **Maintain Visibility**: Always position yourself in a safe location with a clear view of the work area and the operator.
- **Compliance**:Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations and company guidelines.
- **Training**:Engage in regular training sessions and stay updated with best practices in the industry.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience as a Banksman, particularly in a cemetery or similar environment, is preferred.
- **Certification**: A valid Banksman certificate would be advantageous.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
- **Physical Fitness**: Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- **Attention to Detail**: Must be vigilant with a keen eye for potential hazards.
