Warehouse/forklift Operator

Northern Laser Ltd are a relatively new laser cutting business based in Alva Industrial Estate. Due to increased growth, and as we head into our second year of trading we are looking to add a Warehouse/Forklift Operative to the team.

You will ideally have a valid Counter balance Forklift licence, however, consideration will be given to those without this.

**Responsibilities**:Much of the role will involve physically moving metal around the warehouse to designated areas. As such you will need to be physically fit to do this type of work.
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects (Metal plates and components) and work in a physically demanding environment
- Ideally have a valid forklift operator certification
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
