Education Conferences UK (EDUK) is part of HCUK Group and are the leading provider of national CPD conferences and masterclasses for senior leaders working in the education sector. We produce and run over 150 events a year focusing on areas such as pastoral care, safeguarding, attendance and school leadership. Most of our events are currently virtual however we do hold in-person events in locations such as London, Manchester and Leeds. Established in May 2002, EDUK is a small but growing team, who works closely with and is supported the wider HCUK team.

We have just been named as Finalists for best new business in the 2023 National SME Business Awards.

**Summary of responsibilities**:
**Conference Development Role**
- Invite and confirm speakers to ensure conferences can be marketed in a timely manner
- Manage speakers and conference programmes in the run up to an event and provide staff briefs
- Ensure all materials are received from speakers and added to conference landing pages
- Ensure the in-house database is up to date with speaker invites, accurate event information and the correct templates
- Produce, update, and maintain marketing materials, such as conference brochures and conference webpages, using copy supplied from a conference producer
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing to support conference marketing
- Work with the Head of EDUK to replace any drop out or unavailable speakers
- Develop relationships with speakers finding out what other topics they could speak on
- To, in association with the whole team, moderate or act as support person for events/masterclasses

**Key Skills, Abilities & Behaviours**
- Able to quickly build rapport and strong working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Experience of working with database systems, virtual conferencing and Zoom conferencing
- Clear and concise communication of information, both verbally and in writing
- Tactful and diplomatic approach to problem solving
- Had good accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisation of workload, able to prioritise workflow efficiently
- Meets deadlines, works pro-actively, and can multitask
- Works well independently and as part of a team
