We currently have a new and exciting position to work in a specialist school in the Lancaster area. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with adults or young people with additional needs such as Autism, Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired, Mental health needs and physical disabilities.

We have a part time and full time position to work within an educational setting that offers a creative and fun learning environment for young people.

We are looking for people who want to be part of an inspirational team who make education a nurturing and fun environment

The positions are to work within two classes with 8 pupils and a team of TAs. You will be supporting the teacher to deliver fun and creative lessons. The days are structured usually starting at 8:30 and finishing around 3:30 You will learn different communications techniques through technology and sign language. You will be part of additional lessons such as sensory play, Soft play, Drama therapy, art therapy and music therapy.

You will be working within a team that understands the importance of creating a nurturing and safe environment for young people. Each day is different but always fun. The teacher will set lesson plans and goals for each pupil and you will help the pupil reach their goals within group and 1:1 sessions.
