**Background**

Student Services is a major division within Academic Services at the University of Birmingham, with responsibility for providing core services that help our students achieve personal, academic, and professional success.

Student Services are led by the Director of Student Affairs and comprises a number of functional teams that support students from the point of enrolment and Welcome to Graduation, for all students at all levels, including: University Graduate School, Funding Graduation & Awards, Student Disability Services, Aston Webb Student Hub, Student Wellbeing Services, International Student Team, Go Global, Student Experience & Communications, Student Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

**Role Summary**

The post holder will work as part of Funding, Graduation & Awards (FGA) team. They will be responsible for the strategic development and operational management of the University's Degree Congregations, ensuring alignment with divisional and institutional objectives to enhance and improve the Graduand and volunteer staff experience.

The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the institution, to ensure continuous improvement is sought, in the preparation and delivery of ceremonies, and the wider on campus, graduation day experience.

The post holder will also deliver funding advice, contributing to the delivery of in-person open days, and events as directed by the Head of Funding, Graduation & Awards.
