Retirement Living Officer

**The Role**

In this role you’ll support two Retirement Living Schemes, Whitgreave Court in Featherstone and Bramley Court in Wednesfield, that provide independent living with housing management support, for people over the age of 50 with varying needs. A willingness and ability to travel to both schemes is a must

You’ll be the face of Midland Heart responsible for the day-to-day running of the schemes; you’ll assist our residents by offering housing management support including preventing or resolving housing debt, managing housing benefits and assistance in fulfilling tenancy conditions. You’ll ensure our schemes are a safe place to live by undertaking compliance checks in relation to Fire Risk and Building Safety, ensuring audits are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard. Importantly, you’ll coordinate Contractors on-site carrying out repairs in communal areas and resident’s homes, ensuring customers are consulted about services and works where applicable.

Ensuring that you understand our customers’ needs is really important in this role, being empathetic and interacting with them positively. Being able to help solve problems and enhance our customers wellbeing is integral, as well as ensuring the schemes are financially viable.
