Bobst Folder Gluer

**Our client based in Warminster are look for an experienced Folder Gluer Operative.

***Duties will include:

- Lead by example, ensuring a healthy, risk-free, and safe working environment is always maintained, working in conjunction with the Head of Production and the Shift Manager to ensure the safe operation of the plant and machinery.
- Strive to improve production and quality, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets achieved.
- Clear understanding of all the various product ranges and quality control requirements in the production process.
- Monitor product manufacturing process of their machine and implement corrective actions as necessary, including proper use of production resources, assist in proper set-up, adhere to required frequency of product checks.
- Assist the Maintenance engineer to provide specialist technical support, identify necessary machine spare parts and upkeep the inventory of spare parts to enhance the machine performance.
- Lead and supervise their machine operation by communicating effectively with their machine teams and counterparts.
- Deliver shift briefs, shift handovers with focus on quality, encouraging and gathering improvement ideas from the team.
- Responsible for maintaining the continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating follow up actions and any irregularities.
- Optimise the efficiency of the machine by effectively implementing the maintenance plan programme with their team, ensuring any issues or deviations are managed and reported accordingly and all end of shift information is communicated to the Shift Manger.
- Preparations of equipment, spares, and relevant job documentation/information for the shift, manage tool changes within the allocated time. Issues are highlighted ahead to the shift manager to minimise downtime and waste.
- Contribute to the improvement of working procedures by looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results of their machine and ensure compliance with procedures, operating instructions, and work instructions.
- Maintain and calibrate machine and associated devices according to good maintenance practice.

Liaise with other machine operators, departments, and senior management in the implementation of company policies, procedures, and goals.

**Qualifications and Experience Levels**:

- Relevant Manufacturing or engineering degree or equivalent Management/Supervisor training certificates - (preferrable) City & Guilds Licentiateship, BTec Higher Professional Diploma, NVQ level 4.
- Ability to design processes and layouts.
- Experience of Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving), process improvement techniques
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably corrugated industry.
- Experienced with corrugated manufacturing machines (Die Cut, Folder Gluers, Flexographic printing) and expert in at least one of them.
- Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.
