We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 2:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Canford Heath, Poole. This is a **full-time, fixed-term role** until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension and a potential return in September. Immediate start date required

**About the Role**:
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a student with Autism, learning disabilities, and global developmental delay.

You will need to be able to meet the physical demands of the role and set clear boundaries to support the pupil effectively. Your focus will be on engagement and play-based learning and activities tailored to meet the pupil's individual needs.

An understanding of child development is crucial, as you will be expected to incorporate this knowledge into your daily interactions with the student. Additionally, you must be willing to deliver lessons prepared by the teacher in an alternative location on the school site.

Experience in promoting emotional and social development, as well as emotional regulation through interactive activities, would be ideal for this role.

**Requirements**:

- Immediate availability to start the role.
- The ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
