Job details

**About the role**

As part of its Strategy 2030, Bath Spa University is building a range of educational partnerships with both UK and overseas providers. The post holder will co-ordinate a project to evaluate and improve library services for the increasing number of Bath Spa students now studying on these partnership programmes, identifying suitable training and information to support the partners in their effective use of the Library’s online resources.

The project will also review the Library’s learning resource licences and costs in relation to the University’s educational partnerships. The post holder will need to liaise with other Library specialists, University stakeholders, and the partners themselves in order to put in place a robust, sustainable new process to manage partnership access to digital resources.

The role is primarily based at Newton Park campus, with working from home also available by agreement. The postholder will sometimes be required to visit other University and partner campuses.

**About you (requirements)**

You will enjoy collaborating with different teams and contacts to help students effectively use the University’s learning resources. You will be able to work on your own initiative and have a good understanding of information literacy training.

We are looking for a problem solver who can quickly get up to speed with a complex array of licensing issues, different types of educational partnership, and the digital access arrangements that control who gets which resources. You need to be a qualified Librarian with Chartership (or equivalent) and have experience of working in HE libraries.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with HE partner providers to help them deliver high quality learning resources, but this is not a necessity. As part of the Library’s Digital Services team, you will be involved in shaping the library service as we respond to the University’s changing priorities during an exciting phase of its development.

**About us**

Bath Spa University is focused on creative enterprise and guided by our four values of respect, inclusivity, collaboration and sustainability. We teach around 8,000 students on a set of campuses around Bath, with most being located at Newton Park, including a listed Georgian house and grounds, or Locksbrook Road, our new city-centre art and design campus.

Our research centres focus on creative industries and humanities.

Our purpose is to challenge our students and staff to realise their talent and thrive, for their own benefit and for the wider good. By doing this we will think and make the world better.

**Interview Date: 3rd August 2023 (in person)**
