We’re expanding our newly formed Stewardship Team

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Donor Stewardship Officer to join our Stewardship team supporting the Trust’s latest acquisition: a highly significant house and garden in Surrey.

You’ll be joining at the start of this project, bringing this remarkable place to life for our supporters by creating inspiring donor journeys.

This is role is offered on a part time basis of 22.5 hours per week on a 24-month fixed term or internal secondment basis. Internally this role is known as Stewardship Officer.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. There will be travel to our Head Office a minimum of one day per month, and to our London or Surrey hubs once per week.

What you'll be doing:You’ll deliver high quality communication and engagement activities to bring our Donors close to the impact they help us to achieve.

You’ll work in partnership with fundraisers to support first-class relationship management for a group of high-value donors (spanning individuals, patrons, corporates, trusts and foundations, and statutory funders).

Responsible for the delivery of Donor communications, you’ll develop inspiring and engaging impact reports and will act as stewardship lead for a suite of fundraising projects, gathering content from across the Trust to use for Donor Stewardship.

This role will work closely with all fundraising teams both centrally and regionally, with the Communications and Events teams, and with colleagues in our Gardens and Curatorial teams.

- Experience of delivering high-quality, creative Donor Stewardship, particularly for major Gift Donors.
- Experience of creating Donor communications and bespoke impact reports, on time and on budget.
- Experience in managing Principal Gift Donors.
- Passion for creating joyful Donor experience.
- Able to analyse data and report on findings.
- The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- A keenness to learn from the sector to bring excellence to donor stewardship programmes.
- Working knowledge of legislation, regulation and codes of practice applicable to fundraising, including GDPR and PECR.
