**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children and assist with feeding where appropriate
- Support the childminders in organising activities & implementing the weekly plans that allow children to learn about the world and explore interests
- Act as a key worker for specifically identified children
- Assist with planning, record keeping and activity delivery
- Ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime, catering to each child’s individual needs
- Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the problems to the attention of childminders
- Support the childminders in keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests
- Prepare, put out and tidy away resources and equipment for planned activities
- Help children keep good hygiene
- Change the nappies of infants and toddlers as well as undertaking toilet training with children as required
- Keep the setting clean & tidy including cleaning up after meal times and activities
- Uphold Health and Safety considerations particularly proactive use of risk assessments

**Education & Skills Required**
- Level 3 in Childcare would be preferred but not necessary.
- Valid paediatric first aid certificate
- DBS Certificate (Ideally on the update service)
- Safeguarding
- Great leadership skills
- Adaptability
- Imagination & creativity
- Full clean driving licence

**Hours**:
Monday: 9.00am - 4.00pm

Tuesday: 9.00am - 4.00pm

Wednesday: 9.00am - 4.00pm
- **Hours could slightly change**_

Minimum of 21 hours per week.
