Do you want to be the face of our vibrant organisation and make new international friends?

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Casual** **Receptionist** to join our diverse and friendly team.

**International Students House** is a vibrant student centre offering accommodation, social and support services for resident and non-resident British and overseas students. In addition, International Students House encompasses the ISH Venues, the ‘229’ music venue and the Thirsty Scholar Bar.

**The day to day activities of the Receptionist are varied and will include**:

- Carrying out reception duties including check-ins and check-outs, billing, reports, hire out equipment, manage post and parcels and process any payments;
- Answering residents’ queries regarding: bills, departure date, vacation periods, room moves, etc.;
- Being responsible for a cash float, ensuring all financial procedures are adhered to.

- A friendly, welcoming manner;
- An articulate communicator with strong administration skills;
- A reliable individual of an unflappable nature who can work independently and as part of a team;
- A professional and proactive approach to work and willingness to take on any additional responsibilities, as required.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in hospitality, particularly useful in student or hotel accommodation;
- Experience or understanding of higher education sector - desirable.

**Hours and Benefits**:

- Flexible shifts with variable hours, accommodating different events and colleague absences.
- Hourly rate starting at £12.55/hour (plus £1.51 holiday pay per hour), increasing to £14.69/hour (plus £1.77 holiday pay per hour) post-probation.
- Meal allowance of £2.75 for shifts of four hours or more, for use in ISH catering facilities.
