**Youth Worker**
For this Youth Worker role you will be based in one class of 8 students where you will be supporting them throughout their day at school. They will be following a timetable which will be made up of lessons, activities and breaks. During their lessons whichwill include Maths, English and Science you will be in the classroom with them supporting them whenever they need your help, this could be reading, spelling or writing. All the students you will be supporting will have some form of Social, Emotional and MentalHealth needs or have been through trauma earlier on in life. Because of this, there will be times when they don't know how to manage their emotions or express themselves or someone could trigger them, causing them to have behavioural outbreaks. When this happenswhether it is in the classroom or on the playground you will be required to step in a deal with the situation making sure yourself and the student is always safe. The ideal Youth Worker for this role will need to have had previous experience and be able tobe proactive and work as a team.
**SEMH School**
This SEMH School in based in Orpington and caters for students aged between 5-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. They currently have 220 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as 'Outstanding' in all areas.
