Location - Preston
Job Type - Permanent / Full Time
Salary/Package - £40-50k dependant on experience + car allowance, pension, company bonus and additional company benefits
A reputable house builder seeks to appoint an experienced Architectural Technician to join their North West team based in Lancashire.
The company build new properties homes ranging from 1 bed apartments to luxury family homes across the North West priding themselves in quality, customer service and delivering high standards
The Role - Architectural Technician
The company have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join as an Architectural Technician. Reporting to the Technical Director the Technical Manager you will ensure timely delivery of complete, high quality and cost effective designs and approvalsfor multiple new build housing developments.
Duties to include:
" Produce AutoCAD Planning Layouts and all associated drawings.
" Produce AutoCAD house type and apartment working drawings and all associated drawings, details and documents.
" Appointment of and liaison with external Consultants. Liaison with necessary Council Officers and Statutory Authorities. Liaison with Solicitors, preparation of legal drawings and documents.
" Checking external Consultants' drawings, documents and reports. Liaison with contractors and sub-contractors.
" Compilation of tender packages.
" Assist in production of and checking of sales & marketing material.
" Preparation and collation of Building Regulations / NHBC Applications. Checking external Consultants' and Designers' drawings and documents.
" Manage budgets and payments.
" Liaison and collaboration with members of all other Departments within the Company.
" Site visits and liaison with Construction and Sales team where necessary.
Architectural Technician - Skills & Experience
" Previous experience working on housing projects
" Relevant qualification in Architectural Design
" Confident with the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages
" High level of interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to work
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills
" Excellent architectural knowledge - particularly house types
" Proven track record of delivering Building Control approvals
" Experience of planning, organising and prioritising own workload
" Confident with ability to communicate and influence at all levels;
