**Job Overview**

At Stowe we are looking for a Food Services Delivery Driver to work in our busy, friendly team. This is a key role in managing the logistics of the food services department, delivering equipment and catering requests around various locations on the School grounds. You will be the face of the department who has regular contact with Houseparent’s, Matrons, Pupils, and other School colleagues, so a friendly approach and great communication skills are essential.

You will work closely with the Stores Co-ordinator to ensure correct provisions are delivered into Boarding Houses and all relevant documentation is completed, costs are updated and entered into stock system.

You must have a clean driving license D1 and will have full use of our School transit van.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working in a busy and varied environment, managing their workload and delivering a great level of service. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

If you have previous hospitality experience that’s great but if not don’t worry as you will be fully trained on all aspects of the role. You must be good with people, work well in a busy environment and enjoy being part of a team where flexibility and an ‘all hands on deck’ approach is sometimes required

**Purpose of the job**:

- To deliver goods around the grounds as necessary and to transport Food Services staff to and from the School as necessary in a safe manner.
- **Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- To deliver food, beverages and equipment to various locations within the School grounds.
- To drive in a safe, considerate manner adhering to all Road Traffic legislation within the School grounds and on public highways.
- **Key Tasks**:

- To deliver foodstuff and equipment around the grounds as required for various events.
- To deliver food goods into boarding houses at regular intervals, co-ordinating stock requirements with Matrons and Housekeeping staff.
- Working closely with the Stores Co-ordinator and other Food Services Distributor to ensure correct provisions are delivered into Boarding Houses and all relevant documentation is completed, costs are updated and entered into stock system.
- To complete boarding house delivery notes and return to the Stores Co-ordinator on a weekly basis.
- To assist in the stores area as required.
- On occasions to work alongside the Food Services team and assist with a variety of tasks in the servery and plate wash area.On Occasions to pick up and return local staff from the department at the appointed times and to carry out ad hoc transport trips as necessary.
- To work within the team to ensure all departmental service requirements are met in full.
- To carry out regular vehicle safety check, reporting any faults.
- To maintain all mileage logs for various journeys, including mileage when obtaining petrol.
- To adhere to Health and Safety legislation reporting incidents to the Head of Catering.
- To comply with all statutory legislative and departmental requirements relating to Health, Hygiene and Food Safety aspects reporting any incident to a Duty Manager
