**About the role - Behaviour Mentor - Barking and Dagenham**
- Students with challenging behaviour or social, emotional needs are supported by Behaviour Mentors either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Assist in the implementation or support of interventions that are designed to meet the needs of students
- Develop targets with the class teacher in order to support the needs of the student or the EHCP plans
- Aims to improve the personal and social skills of pupils by working directly with individuals or groups to raise their self-esteem and confidence.
- Motivate, advocate, and serve as a role model for young people.
- Mentoring sessions on a one-to-one basis.

Through all levels of schooling, up to and including sixth form, these children range in age from 3 to 19 years old. Despite receiving a "GOOD" in their latest Ofsted report, they did achieve outstanding ratings in a few areas. There are currently 1165 students enrolled in this school, which has a capacity of 2638. There is also a provision for students with SEN as well as challenging behavior at the school. Providing students with experienced teachers who go above and beyond in order to ensure that they receive the best education possible.
