March, United Kingdom Group Eleven Full time

We are looking to appoint an inspirational RE teacher to lead the successful and supportive team with a local academy in September 2024. A lack of leadership experience is not a barrier for us, we want to appoint an individual who is a problem solver and keen to be part of an exciting improvement journey. The scope for an ambitious individual to thrive in this environment is tangible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the RE department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among staff.
- Develop and implement a relevant and ambitious RE curriculum that meets the needs of all students and contributes to their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
- Collaborate with partner schools within the Active Learning Trust to share best practices, resources, and ideas for improving GCSE and A-level outcomes in RE.
- Provide effective leadership and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the RE curriculum, assessment practices, and teaching strategies, making adjustments as necessary to drive improvement.
- Engage with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to promote the importance of RE education and foster positive relationships within the community.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in Religious Education.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher within a relevant area.
- Experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire staff, solve problems, and drive positive change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and external partners.
