We have been building stronger families since 1869, and today we work with more than 60,000 families in over 150 community-based services, as well as supporting thousands more through national programmes and grants.

We run Young Carers Support Services across England to alleviate the pressures of providing care, mobilising support around the young carer and their family. We work collaboratively with parents and young people aged 5-18, helping them to navigate the emotional, practical and physical realities of life as a young carer.

We are currently seeking a Young Carers Administrator to join us for a fixed term contract until 31st March 2024, on a part-time basis, working 14.8 hours per week.

The Role

As a Young Carers Administrator, you will provide key support to the delivery of the Young Carers Support Service in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Specifically, you will help us to collaborate with primary healthcare professionals to advocate for greater recognition and support for young carers.

Acting as their first point of contact, you will ensure that young carers can access the support they need, addressing issues that could negatively affect their development or wellbeing.

Working with our Project Manager, you will promote our service across the locality, collaborating with external agencies to raise awareness of young carers in the community.

About You

**To be considered as Young Carers Administrator, you will need**:

- Experience with setting up administrative systems and providing administrative support in a busy environment
- Experience with keeping accurate records, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent IT and numeracy skills, with demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office systems and case management information systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate information effectively to a range of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle queries sensitively
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan, organise and manage a varied workload, and to work flexibly
