**Job Purpose**

The Senior Specification Technologist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all finished product specifications in all formats as well as coordinating all packaging artwork activities.

**Principle Accountabilities**
- Creation of all finished product specifications - including customer own format, business own format and internal/factory specifications.
- Coordination of all artwork activities for customer own and business own brands.
- Part management of all critical paths for new product launches.
- Liaising with customers and technical service providers regarding status updates on projects and, where necessary, offering solutions to missed deadlines.
- Generation of legally compliant pack copies, including ingredient declarations, prior to briefing in artwork design
- Generation and management of nutritional data of data for all products
- Creation of customer and business own quality attributes for finished products
- Involvement in supplier and raw material approval as well business approval of raw material specifications
- Primary customer contact for various queries and requirements

**Competencies**
- Knowledge and experience of retailer technical and specification portals
- Working knowledge of all business required certification bodies and retailer codes of practise
- Strong approachable leadership skills building engaging relationships with all departments
- Diligence in performing appointed tasks as prescribed
- Organised and able to work with autonomy

**Education & Qualifications**
- Degree qualified in a science based discipline (ideally food science) or equivalent experience
- Level 3-4 food safety, ideally in manufacturing
- Level 2-3 HACCP
- Computer literate including MS office software
- Other industry specific qualifications would be favourable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £40,000.00 per year
