Solar Pv Installer

The role will require attending customers properties, to install solar panels based on the properties orintation. The roofer's responsibilities include removing hazards from roofs, gutters, and adjacent structures, setting up scaffolding and performing all tasks necessary for solar installations.

To be successful as a roofer, you should be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and other contractors. Ultimately, an outstanding Roofer will ensure that all safety standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Installation of solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties
- Experience with roof and ground mounting solar panels
- Some maintenance work on existing Solar PV systems including replacement of faulty panels, removing panels to fix roof leaks and replacing them again.
- Loading and Unloading materials
- Mainly covering Republic of Ireland with nationwide travel
- Connecting solar panels to electrical system
- Making adjustments to building surfaces so panels fit and are adequately supported
- Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as required.
- Updating the supervisor on job progress and reporting any problems related to the job.
- Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites.

Requirements and Skills
- 3-5 years Roofing Experience
- Experience on Solar PV systems very desirable (install and maintenance)
- Be competent with various mounting systems
- Experience working at heights
- Experience with monitoring systems for PV (advantageous)
- Driving Licence
- You will need to be tidy; polite and mindful that you will be working in people's homes
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Excellent time keeping
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- The ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- The ability to use powered hand tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
