We have a great full-time **Commodity Manager** role available, with a superb local, established business in PR26
**Commodity Manager salary: c£45k + dependent on experience**
**Commodity Manager** hours: 37 hour working week. Monday to Thursday 8 am - 4:20 pm Friday 8 am - 3:15 pm (Could start 30 mins earlier or later)

Key Responsibilities as a **Commodity Manager**:
- Management of a high value commodity package (team annual spend of £500 million per year) including development of suppliers to ensure total cost sourcing decisions are made in line with the Company requirements.
- Achievement and reporting of Company targets on cost control, quality improvement and lead time improvement.
- Development of partnership relationships with vendors.
- Work with suppliers to implement the Cost Management Programme and ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented.
- Understand commodities managed at multiple levels and develop short, medium and long-term commodity strategies.
- Identify and lead a number of cost reduction projects
- Manage a complex and varied workload, ensuring attention is maintained on key actions.
The ideal **Commodity Manager** will
- Have very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and good commercial awareness.
- Be a good communicator with a flexible, self - managing approach to workload and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Be a very confident presenter at senior management level.
- Ideally have an Engineering, Process and/or Materials background.
- Be a self-motivated team player, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Have a Driving License & Passport and be prepared to work away/abroad
- Have a CIPS Membership/Be Degree qualified/Have Six Sigma Green Belt certified/Knowledge of LEAN engineering - all desirable, not essential
