My client is currently looking for a Buyer to oversee the plant's direct purchasing needs in Gillingham, Kent.

**_Roles and responsibilities_**
- Delivering and carrying out solid plans for year over year performance. Managing as a buyer in delivering on time and at the best cost to achieve the sites' delivery performance targets.
- Collaborate closely with category teams to pinpoint link and leverage opportunities.
- Creating solid, long-lasting agreements with suppliers.
- Support business partner collaboration to maintain competitiveness with their business strategy.
- Make sure all tasks are completed honestly and in accordance with global, divisional, and site policies; promote process and system improvements.
- Facilitate cross-functional participation in all cost-saving activities, including the creation of ideas for new equipment and spare parts with the lowest possible cost.
