Tarmac are currently looking for a **Vocational Assessor** to join their Learning & Development team to identify and manage the delivery of the assessment process of operational employees across our North and Scotland region. This is a mobile, hybrid role so you will travel across our operating locations throughout the North of England and lowlands of Scotland.

**Role Responsibility**:
Reporting to the Lead Assessor, the role of **Vocational Assessor **is responsible for coordinating and planning the operational training and assessment requirements in the region through building strong relationships with managers to ensure buy-in and commitment to the training programme.

The role of **Vocational Assessor** will also be responsible for:

- Communicating and coordinate with operations teams to ensure competency, skills and knowledge are maintained across all product lines
- Supporting the delivery of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality strategy by ensuring that all operational employees have the competent skills required for their job role
- Delivering fixed, mobile plant, HSE assessments when required and carry out competence assessments
- Delivery of a variety of classroom based and internal training
- Ensuring all qualifications meet the Tarmac Assessment Centre and the Internal Verification processes and standards
- Ability to influence and successfully work with managers to ensure competency of staff
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to drive results and deliver goals against tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and e-portfolio’s (will train)
- Able to work as a team but also independently
- Well organised and able to successfully plan own work
- IOSH qualification essential and NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
- Assessing Vocational Achievement - L3 (advantageous)

This is a mobile role travelling across the region. A company car is provided so a full UK driving licence is essential.
