Cabling Operatives

We have an exclusive opportunity for Cabling Operatives & Gangs working across Cumbria.
This role will involve proactive maintenance as well as reactive fault and emergency work, which will include weekend work on a rota basis.
**Main Duties**:
- Upkeep and maintain fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards.
- Underground and Overhead installations.
- Working within a team and successfully delivering PIA installation works.
- Installing fibre optic cables.
- Fault find on Fibre Network Infrastructures.
- Troubleshoot individual and wider network issues.
- Adherence to all Health and safety practises.
- Correct use of equipment and procedures.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles to a high standard.
- To help maximise the maintenance schedule and to meet strict deadlines.
**Experience & Skills**:
- Organised and proactive approach to work
- Good, positive attitude to work
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
- Uses own initiative to develop ideas and practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Flexible approach and positive attitude to work
- Knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA)
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 5 points)
