Assistant Greenkeeper

Chester Le Street Golf Club is in the very heart of County Durham, Land of the Prince Bishops, lovingly blended into the countryside surrounding Lumley Castle and meandering along the banks of the River Wear. This prestigious, mature and mainly parkland golf course at Chester Le Street overlooks the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground to the West, with fells and hills beyond.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Greenkeeper to join our team.

The successful applicant will assist in day-to-day routine maintenance as directed by our Course Manager.

The applicant must have an excellent work ethic, dedication, passion and be a team player with a keen eye for presentation, and able to carry out all standard greenkeeping tasks.
- NVQ Level 2 Sports turf or equivalent
- At least three years greenkeeping experience
- A full U.K. driving licence
- A flexible approach as weekend work is required, one in four rotor.

In addition to the above the following attributes would be desirable;
- PA1, PA2A & PA6 spraying certificates
- CA30/C31 chainsaw qualification

**Working Hours**

**April - Septemeber - **45hrs per week.

**October - March - **35hrs per week.

**Weekend Shift - **One in every four, paid at X1.5 rate.

**Bank Holidays - **Two per year, paid at X2 rate.

All included in the salary, any additional overtime will be paid at the respective rate above.

**Remuneration**

**Salary**: £28,446.00-£29,326.00 per year
