My highly successful manufacturing client are looking to hire an experienced Tool Maker/Repair Person to help with their continued growth. If you are hard-working and dedicated, this is the ideal job for you.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure effective tooling repairs & check overs are carried out.
- Make sure components/assemblies comply with latest drawings.
- Ensure that all tooling is suitable for production.
- Produce new tooling for production as required.
- Troubleshoot production problems.
- Assess component problems & advise corrective actions.
- Ensure that tool room consumables are maintained.
- Good understanding of the use of hand tools and inspection measuring equipment, the safe use of mechanical machinery.
- Competent and safe use of Grinding, Milling and Turing machines plus any other associated tool room equipment.
Skills required:

- Recognised Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and Grinding Wheel Regulations.
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment and position.
- Good understanding of setting and assembly techniques.
- Must be competent when using Hand Tooling/Measuring Equipment.
- Able to read technical drawings and specifications. Good eye for detail.
- Good communication skills.
