Temporary Accounts Assistant

**The Company**
Able Bridge Recruitment are working with an internationally recognised brand in the recruitment of a temporary accounts assistant for a period of approximately 4 months. Each year our client sees the summer months being some of the busiest and is compounded with holiday leave with existing employees.
Being based in the Edinburgh office 5 days a week you will report into the head of finance and will be part of a 4 person accounts team that looks after the finances of the company. The organisation have a sister organisation that they also work with and you will be expected to work closely with them as well.
**The Responsibilitie**
The purpose of this role is to support the finance team in the maintenance of the purchase ledger, manage payment runs (multi currencies), assist in the smooth roll out of a new purchase order system as well as assisting the team in running reports, answering queries and reconciling the purchase ledger.
**On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;**
Setting up new suppliers on the in-house finance system.
Ensuring that PO numbers are correctly detailed on invoices and liaising with the purchasing manager(s), to educate and ensure that the PO system is being understood and used.
Matching invoices to PO numbers and patching them for payment.
Reconciliation of purchase ledger to ensure suppliers and not over or under paid.
Ensuring that supplier queries are resolved promptly.
Production of various reports on an adhoc basis when required.
