Fabricator/welder

**Due to company expansion, we require a working foreman for our engineering and fabrication company.**
**Duties Include.**
- Working well as part of a team, as well as working on solo projects and working from own initiative.
- Be able to read and understand fabrication and technical drawings.
- Measure and mark dimensions for accurate fabrication.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, parts and equipment according to drawings and specifications by either free hand fabrication or JIG work.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely.
- Experienced in MIG welding - material thickness between 3mm and 30 mm - previously being coded to 9606 - 1 for CE marking would be an advantage but not essential.
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet the required specifications - keeping up a high quality product in line with the company's quality manual.
- Willing to work overtime as and when required.
**Skills**
- Proficient in operating power tools and hand tools for metal fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes.
- Experience in welding, including MIG welding, with the ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques would be an advantage but not essential.
- Coming from a modular home, caravan, cabin sector would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
This position requires a high level of skill in fabricating and welding metal parts and structures.
