**About the team**

You will be placed within Gloucestershire County Council’s Business Service Centre, where you will learn all aspects of Payroll and Pensions processing and Administration.

The Business Service Centre (BSC) delivers many of the Council’s back office services, including payroll, payment & income processing, shopping, temporary staff service, DBS
checks, ID badges and SAP system support.

**About the role**
This role will help to deliver all day-to-day Payroll and Pensions support and the exciting opportunity this apprentice scheme offers will eventually provide you with experience in
understanding payroll processing from start to finish, dealing with queries, general Payroll tasks and providing guidance and advice to our employees and also external customers.
You will also be offered bespoke and educational training whilst working in the Payroll and Pensions teams by completing an NVQ level 3 in Payroll and Pensions Administration.

**What we need you to do**
To support the Payroll function within the BSC, Learn to use relevant Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word) competently
Input various forms into the Payroll system with a high degree of accuracy, Provide all required administrative support relating to Payroll and pensions and the wider BSC.
