Hoddesdon, United Kingdom Teens Unite Fighting Cancer Full time

At Teens Unite, we come to work to make meaningful change to the lives of young people fighting cancer and its long-term, life-changing impacts.

We are excited to offer a brand new volunteer opportunity. This volunteer role sits within our Beneficiary team who organise and run our events and liaise directly with the young people that we support.

**Who we are** - a young, energetic, Charity team, positively motivating and supporting young people aged 13-24 who are fighting cancer, to live their best life.

This is an ongoing volunteering position which will see you support at least 4 beneficiary events per calendar year. The volunteering will take place in a variety of venues around Hertfordshire and London.

This opportunity will provide the individual with an opportunity to develop transferable skills such as communication, time management and teamwork, and will offer the chance to observe the Teens Unite’s Teams interactions with the young people that we support.

At Teens Unite we recognise volunteers as a core part of our team, with a distinctive, but complementary role alongside paid staff. We believe that as an organisation we benefit from the skills, experience and enthusiasm of volunteers and feel that you should be able to gain personal benefits from the experience too. - You have a passion for people and are enthusiastic, compassionate and reliable.
- You can commit to a minimum of 4 beneficiary events a year. These will be pre-agreed with our beneficiary team in advance.
- You are willing and able to travel to locations round London and Hertfordshire. Teens Unite will cover travel expenses.
- You would consider supporting our national meet ups, however this is not necessary to the role.

**As a volunteer at Teens Unite, you can expect**:

- To be involved with an organisation that supports young people fighting cancer aged 13-25
- The opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of these teenagers and young adults
- A supportive and positive team that ensures you enjoy volunteering with Teens Unite
