**CARE WORKER - PERMANENT SHIFTS**

I am a young woman living at home in Peebles, looking for a person to join my small team of carers. I

require care 20 hours a day so need people that I can really rely on to support me.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- I require support with all my personal care needs - support with washing/showering daily.
- I need help with all cooking and meal preparation throughout the day, ensuring that I have

eaten and drunk enough.
- I need someone to prompt and assist me when taking my medication.
- I require support around my home - help with laundry, housework and the general running

of my home along with assistance with the shopping too.
- I need encouragement and support if I choose to go out socially and need someone who can

help with any personal care requirements during these times too.

- Someone kind, with a genuine caring nature.
- I would like someone that I get along with and feel comfortable with.
- A person who is reliable, trustworthy and confidential.
- Someone who will work well within my team but who is confident enough to work on their

own initiative too.
- Ideally someone who is happy to work alongside cats as I have four.

**Hours of work**
- Week One and Three

Monday 5pm - 10pm and Sleepover

Tuesdays 5pm-10pm and Sleepover

Fridays 7am - 2pm
- Week Two and Four

Monday 7am - 2pm

Tuesdays 5pm-10pm and Sleepover

Fridays 7am - 2pm

**The terms**
- £11.00 per hour for day shifts and £9.50 per hour for sleepovers.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
- This is a female only post and is an occupation requirement permitted under Schedule 9,

Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.
