**Job Description - Warehouse and Prep Assistant**

Gatekeeper Systems is a leading global provider of supermarket loss prevention technology. Due to continued growth in the UK, we are looking for a full time **Warehouse and Prep Assistant** to join our Team in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This wide and varied role will suit someone who is highly organised, adaptable and self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively, with great follow-up and follow-through to completion skills.

Reporting into the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the **Warehouse and Prep Assistant** will work as part of a team responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department for the UK business.

The successful applicant will have good organisational skills, a current forklift counterbalance licence with experience, and be confident using Navision and Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm with thirty minutes unpaid lunch per day, 40 hours per week.

Be a hands-on and willing to support the efficient running of our department, working closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure the smooth-running of the function. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Assembles kits, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions
- Reads plans, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks
- Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies
- Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; report to warehouse manager if supplies are needed
- Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Assist with receiving, unloading, counting and stocking physical inventory in the warehouse
- Open boxes, crates and other containers
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets expectations and company timelines
- Pick items according to the orders
- Inspect items to ensure they are not damaged or faulty and adjust inventory accordingly
- Pack item according to specified packing guidelines
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, inventory space and workstations neat; sweep and vacuum
- Organise warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Wear the proper safety equipment
- Constantly work to improve processes
- Make suggestions for productivity improvements
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members
- Train and guide new colleagues
- Perform stock takes bi-annually on all products in the warehouse
- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to
- Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures
- Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring physical stock is in line with the inventory management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy
- Ability to be resilient, assertive, optimistic and open to change
- Good understanding of deliverables and the impact failure/cost of poor quality
- You may occasional be asked to work extra hours
- Maintain accurate records in Navision, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, shared file drives, DSX and CRM
- Support the wider business functions when needed

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Navision, and other software as it is necessary to complete logs or records
