We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a full-time higher Assistant Psychologist to work in our inpatient service in Rotherham Adult Mental Health alongside a growing team of Clinical Psychologists. We are a newly expanded team in the inpatient wards and are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and innovative Assistant Psychologist to work as part of the team.

The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams and work to improve the Psychological offer to the inpatient service including the development of groups delivered on the wards and offering clinical work including individual assessment and focused interventions as appropriate.

At the Swallownest site, we have two acute wards and a PICU and on a nearby site, we have a rehab ward. The current post will involve offering input across all 4 wards. We have a clear commitment and passion for developing Psychological thinking and ways of working within our inpatient wards.

In Rotherham we have a growing team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions who are passionate about providing high quality clinical care to service users and influencing the wider delivery of care through the support of the locality teams. The post holder will have experience of working within Adult Mental Health services and ideally in delivering groups and will be eligible for graduate membership of the BPS.
