We are currently looking to recruit a Finanace Assistant / Officer to join our team based at our Loughborough Head Office site. We operate a hybrid working policy splitting your time between working from home (3 days a week) or from our Head Office (2 days a week).

**Scope and Purpose of Role**:
To assist the Finance Manager in the smooth running of the accounts department. To consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards for the department with a high degree of customer care and service at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts including posting receipt/credits and monitoring accounts to ensure no account goes overdrawn. Preparing and posting of journals and period end bank reconciliations
- Managing payment runs including keying GBP/FX supplier payments on Bankline
- Undertake Export checks including VAT checks for new customers and obtaining and managing export documents for all export sales.
- Manage the G4S account including daily pickups paperwork, missed services, arranging additional collections and review daily monies received spreadsheets and discrepancies
- Developing relationships with all depots, resolving daily queries with a flexible, prompt and helpful manner
- Provide ongoing support to depots for customer account issues, credit card payment queries, notification of bank funds and banking support
- Developing relationships with bankers and other external customers. Correspond with the bank relationship team to resolve issues and queries
- Responsibility for petty cash tins including posting of journals.
- Generate manual rental invoices monthly
- Opening and distributing post on a weekly rota.
- Ensure the company standards that are set within the Accounts Audits and are adhered to.
- To liaise with other departments to ensure a seamless transition of information.
- Support and contribute as a key member of the Hancocks Team and adhere to company H&S and rules at all times
- Any other duties as defined by management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
