**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Bradford team as a Dementia Adviser. With us, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.

You will also assist service users to access other services, by signposting and referring. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will also have the opportunity to support our local Dementia Café and Peer Support groups.

We do not provide personal care but enable people affected by dementia to have the information, support and access to networks to enable them to live better with dementia.

**About you**

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the vibrant and experienced Bradford Team, which consists of eleven staff members who are keenly supported by three enthusiastic volunteers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the diverse cultures within Bradford.
- Be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
- Demonstrate optimism, be engaging, and be a pragmatic individual.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, being approachable and friendly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to use Microsoft packages confidently.
- Be able to work collaboratively with other team members.
