Temporary Housekeeping Team Leader
- This a temporary post to assist during the busy summer conference season. _

The Housekeeping Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out the daily servicing of bedrooms and communal areas, achieving high levels of efficiency, organisation and communication.

In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, they will act as a first point of contact for guests, Housekeeping staff, the Lodge and the Conference and Events Manager.

Other accountabilities include supporting the Housekeeping staff in delivering a high quality cleaning standard consistently; taking an active hands on approach with the daily cleaning tasks; auditing the departmental performance with a view to make recommendations, and implement changes and improvements.

**Job description**
- Overseeing and carrying out the preparation and cleanliness of all Student Rooms, Guest Rooms and common areas. Monitoring, and where necessary, correcting the hygiene and cleanliness of College facilities and associate rooms
- Supervision and allocation of Housekeepers
- Monitoring a Healthy and Safe working environment for the Housekeeping department and reporting any issues relating to Health and Safety immediately to the Head Housekeeper
- Liaising with the Head Housekeeper for student and conference room allocations and assisting with the arranging of weekend rosters
- Monitoring College furnishings, soft furnishings and bedding, ensuring it is regularly inspected and attended to
- Monitoring linen and stores stock requirements
- Key issue and return for required areas
- To act as a point of contact for guests, Housekeeping staff, Maintenance staff and the Conference and Events Manager, where applicable
- To undertake any other such duties consistent with the purpose of the job

**Salary**:The appointment would commence at Grade 3 of the University pay scale (£19,612 - £24,461 paid pro rata) for a 30 hour week, any 5 days out of 7.

**Hours**:Working hours will normally be Monday to Friday during term time, however longer hours may be required to fulfil the business need. During conference season the post holder would be expected to work some weekends in accordance with the demands of the business.
